iPad in the Classroom

I want to be a Social Studies teacher, so I went on a search for an iPad app that could be used in a Social Studies classroom. I found one that looked very useful to a Government class. The app is called MyCongress, and it has a bio for each Representative and Senator. It has live streaming news from Congress. And it keeps everything in a sleek and easy to use format.

I would love to have this app in my classroom because it can help put faces to names and give fun tidbits about Congress. When learning about Congress it would be neat to be able to actually see what I'm talking about in up to the minute style. This would show the students an instant connection to the material with something fun and new.

I really like this app and would love it in my classroom. Anything that can be used to make Government more interesting or more connected or grounded in the real world would help make Government a cooler subject.
